“The Splash Pad in Marathon Park has been well-received

by the community. Attendance there is equal to our outdoor

swimming pools on a monthly basis.

Parents bring their children to the facility knowing that the kids will enjoy themselves in a safe, refreshing atmosphere that is not dependent upon the child’s ability to swim.”

Karyn Powers, Recreation Superintendent

Wausau and Marathon County Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department

Lake Country Rotary Past-President Mike Kaiser presented a plaque to Rotarian Dr. Seth Barr, owner of Forward Chiropractic, for his donation to the Lake Country Rotary Splash Pad being constructed in Nixon Park.

Lake Country Rotary President Chris Keto presented a plaque to Glenn Welnak from Modern Woodmen of America, who made a matching donation to the Lake Country Rotary Splash Pad.
